Elongated finger
lake that crosses the United States–Canadian border 5 miles (8 km) north
of Newport, Vermont, Unites States. Extending about 27 miles (43 km) from Newport to Magog, Quebec, the lake forms a small part of the northern boundary of
Vermont. It is only 1–2 miles (1.5–3 km) wide for most of its length but
has several large embayments

Ride over a section of the Route Verte cycling network, known as "La
Montagnarde", which crosses the park from east to west. The hardwood
forest provides a canopy for cyclists and reveals its many secrets by way
of its self-interpretation panels. |

mountains
Several mountains (Orford,
Alfred-Des Rochers and Chauve) and a number of peaks (Ours, Lynx and Roche
Fendue) offer nature enthusiasts a breathtaking panoramic view.
The Orford Park has
50 km of cross-country trails in an outstanding wildlife area, and 10 km
of snowshoe trails. |
